Daniel JeanRichard was a seventeenth century Swiss jewelry maker whose name was placed on a new brand of Swiss watch in the early 1990's. The goal of DJR is to produce simple, high quality, and very affordable mechanical Swiss watches. This DJR Highland Chronograph is in a 38mm x 14.5mm satin finished SS screw back case, water resistant to 50 meters. The screw down crown is signed, and the crystal is acrylic. It has a white dial with brightly fluorescent Arabic numerals. This watch is on an unsigned brown leather strap with tang type clasp, with creasing and very mild staining as evidence of previous use. It is in excellent to near mint condition, with minor scuffs and dings on the bezel, case sides, and case back. The DJR cal 25 (base cal ETA 2824-2) 38 jewel automatic Swiss movement maintains accurate time within a tolerance of four seconds per day, and the chronograph functions properly. This preowned Swiss chronograph, which will be sold with boxes and papers, has been discontinued. It had a list price (MSRP) of $1150 when last in production.
