It and its predecessors have been in continuous production for over 40 years. This watch is the Apollo 15 35th Anniversary Limited Edition (ref 3366.51.00), dedicated to that 1971 Apollo mission and is one of a numbered limited edition of only 1971 watches distributed worldwide. The sapphire case back has a silk screen on its inner surface with the logo of Apollo 15 and the name of its three crew members. Like the classic Moon Watch, this one is in a 40mm x 14mm SS screw back case with acrylic crystal, water resistant to thirty meters. This watch is unique in that it has 18K rose gold trim on the bezel, crown, pushers, and dial. It is on the current style of Speedmaster bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp, long enough for a seven and three quarter inch wrist. This watch is in near mint condition, without any scratches on the case, bezel or crystal, a few very minor scuffs on the bracelet and case back, as well as tiny pinpoint dings on the edge of the bezel. The Omega cal 1861 (base cal Lemania 1873) 18 jewel manual winding movement maintains accurate time within a tolerance of five seconds per day, and the chronograph functions precisely. This preowned limited edition Speedmaster, which was purchased from an Omega dealer in March, 2007, will be sold with special box set and all papers, including an Apollo 15 numbered certificate of authenticity and the original purchaser's receipt. The limited edition has been sold out for some time. It had a list price (MSRP) of $4200 when last available.
