The Omega Speedmaster Professional and its predecessors have been in continuous production for over 40 years. This watch is the Gemini IV 40th Anniversary Limited Edition, one of an edition of 2005 watches issued to commemorate the 1965 space walk of Edward H. White, II, the first American to walk in space. The sapphire case back has a silk screen on its inner surface with the logo of the Gemini IV mission and the names of its crew members, White and McDivitt. On the perimeter is inscribed, "Omega Space Walk, 40th Anniversary". Like other Moon Watches, this one is in a 40mm x 14mm SS screw back case with acrylic crystal, water resistant to thirty meters. It is on the latest style of Speedmaster bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp, long enough for an eight inch wrist. This watch is in near mint condition, without any scratches on the case, bezel, crystal, or bracelet. The Omega cal 1861 (base cal Lemania 1873) 18 jewel manual winding movement currently maintains accurate time within a tolerance of three seconds per day, and the chronograph functions precisely. This two and a half year old preowned limited edition Speedmaster will be sold with boxes and papers, including a Gemini 4 numbered certificate of authenticity.
