Roland Murphy, one of a new breed of American watch manufacturers, is producing fine watches in Lancaster, PA, a city with a long proud history and tradition of watch making. As homage to this watchmaking tradition of his home city, Mr. Murphy has introduced his "Signature Series", combining new old stock restored vintage movements with attractive, modern cases and dials. This is among the first of that series, the RGM Model 222E/921, in a 41mm x 12.3mm SS screw back case with sapphire display, water resistant to 50 meters. The custom ordered solid silver guilloche dial has blued hands, black Arabic numerals, and subsidiary seconds at nine. This watch is on a signed black alligator strap with tang type buckle. It is new and unworn, without a scratch or other defect. The handsomely finished Hamilton cal 921 21 jewel vintage hand wound pocket watch movement has been fully restored and updated in the RGM workshops, and it is is accurate within a tolerance of one second per day. This unworn men's watch, which will be sold with boxes, hang tag, polishing cloth, papers, and an RGM one year warranty, has a list price of $6500.
