The Stowa watch company was founded in 1927, and their product is known as “the German Quality Watch.” This Stowa Antea automatic is in a 39mm x 9.2mm polished SS screw back case with sapphire display back, water resistant to 50 meters. Its white dial has black Arabic numerals and quickset date at six. This watch has a sapphire crystal, unsigned non-screw down crown, and signed rotor. It is on a signed black leather strap with tang type buckle, showing evidence of occasional careful use. The watch is in near mint condition, without a significant scratch or other flaw that I can detect. The ETA cal 2824 25 jewel movement maintains accurate time to two seconds per day. This eight month old preowned Stowa Antea, which will be sold with its original box and papers, does not have a US list price.
